Fast BLAST Tournaments Introduced by 888poker
This was published 15-06-2017888poker has introduced a new turbocharged version of its popular BLAST games that will see one of the most action-packed online poker tournament variants become even crazier.
BLAST tournaments are 888poker’s version of the so-called “jackpot sit & go” tournaments with all BLAST tournaments played on four-handed tables and commencing when four players have entered either the $1, $5, $10, $15, $30 or $100 buy-in game.
The prize pool is randomly selected before any cards are dealt to players, as in other online poker sites’ jackpot sit & go games. However, there is then a major difference which separates BLAST from the competition. BLAST games do not play out like a typical sit & go but have a five minute timer displayed. Once the timer hits zero, any remaining players are set all-in until such time as a champion is decided. This process is bound to lead to a couple of crazy plays when the timer is about to count down.
Despite the fact that five minutes promotes more than enough frenzied action, 888poker is currently preparing to introduce Fast BLAST tournaments, which only have a time limit of two minutes. Players still have a chance to play for a share of a prize pool up to 10,000 times the buy-in amount with the same rules but now have a mere 120 seconds in which to build a stack large enough to give them an increased chance of winning some prize money.
The $10 BLAST WSOP Package edition is yet another new addition to the 888poker BLAST offering where the winner is awarded a $12,500 package to the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event for triggering the jackpot.
The $10 buy-in games see 8% of the buy-in paid in fees while the prize pool multiplier is twice, five times or 1,250 times the buy-in. Prizes are due to be awarded at the following frequencies.
