Guaranteed Prize Pool for Party Poker Million Doubled to $2 Million
This was published 20-08-2016The guaranteed prize pool for Party Poker’s featured event at the Caribbean Poker Party that is scheduled to take place between Saturday, 19th and Friday, 25th November 2016 has doubled to $2 million.
Party Poker announced, way back in May, that the site would be taking over the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the spectacular resort of Punta Cana on the Dominican Republic in order to host another of its amazing Caribbean Poker Parties.
The event consists of two important poker tournaments – the WPT Caribbean and the Party Poker Million as well as a full week of fun that includes parties, activities around the pool and golf.
Due to the success of Party Poker’s qualifying promotions, the site has doubled the guaranteed prize pool for the Party Poker Million from $1 to $2 million.
Players who wish to win packages to the Caribbean Poker Party including entry into the Party Poker Million event should take note that Party Poker hosts phased satellite tournaments every week that guarantee a minimum of five packages to the event and also runs two leader board competitions.
The phased satellite tournament’s sub-satellite qualifying route allows players to qualify for the weekly final from a mere $0.01. Yet another sub-satellite route leads to a second weekly final that guarantees a minimum of five seats in the WPT Caribbean but does not, however, include flights or accommodation.
The first leader board competition is for high rollers who cash in Power Series tournaments with a buy-in of a minimum of $109.00. Party Poker will award packages to the Party Poker Million each week to the ten players who have managed to accumulate the most leader board points.
The second “Sub-55” leader board competition is for those players who cash in Power Series tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $R5.50 to $55.00. Each week the top fifty players will be awarded tickets to the weekly phased satellite tournaments of their sub-satellites which depends on how high up the “Sub-55” leader board they manage to finish.
More than 200 players have already booked seats to the Caribbean Poker Party including leading UK poker player Sam Trickett and Party Poker ambassadors Tony Dunst, Mike Sexton and Carl Froch.
