World Poker Tour to Air in the UK on Free-to-air Channel Front Runner
This was published 28-10-2016Fans of the World Poker Tour (WPT) will be pleased to learn that they will have the opportunity to watch all the action from the latest tournaments which is now airing in the United Kingdom on the free-to-air TV channel, Front Runner.
Front Runner TV broadcasts lifestyle and documentaries from the worlds of Snowballing, Boxing, Comedy, Motorcross, Surfing, Cage Fighting, X Games and now the World Poker Tour and is currently the only free-to-air dedicated sports channel in the United Kingdom.
The WPT is immensely popular in the United States with its televised events hosted by Vince Van Patten and Mike Sexton being very well received by viewers in the country.
Thanks to Front Runner TV, poker enthusiasts in the United Kingdom now have the opportunity to watch the latest televised WPT events from the comfort of their own homes, and for free. The action from the WPT can be watched by viewers from midnight Monday through Saturday, while a marathon showing is broadcast from midday to 6.00 pm. on Sundays.
Ryan Scarrat of Front Runner, revealed that they are extremely excited to be bringing WPT to free-to-air TV in the United Kingdom. He went on to say that they know that there is a vast audience out there in the poker world, and they are sure that they will enjoy watching some of the best in the business.

Front Runner is, however, not available to Virgin Media’s approximately 13 million subscribers but it is hoped that this will change in the near future so that the excitement of the WPT can be spread.
With the choice of poker on TV in the UK being very limited with only the European Poker Tour having aired since The Player Channel, also known as PokerChannelEurope, which was acquired by Ginx TV in October of 2013 and shut down a month later, the addition of WPT coverage on Front Runner is bound to be very well received by the poker community in Britain.
